Calluses on my fingertips

I've never met an audience quite as rude as the one I encountered today. For the 2nd half of the performance I'd wanted to throw the electric guitar at them and ask them to try playing it and see how it hurts when you've practised so much and end up having your efforts go down the drain. Too bad the guitar wasn't mine.

Anyway, I don't regret doing this thing because it was an experience. I learnt how to play the electric guitar - not mastered yet, but at least the fundamentals were there - and in the process got to work with a very talented team. I can safely say we've done our best. Sure, I admit that it hurts, but that's not going to stop me from performing on the electric guitar again. Never.

Back to the books. Math test tomorrow and I haven't started.

What's up?

Spinning: -

I'm sorry. I'm really very busy with my life outside this virtual world... y'know when I get bored I can spend time talking to myself, and perhaps letting the whole world look at what I'm doing in life through this blog. But this time I'm not bored - I've got no time to be bored. I'm swamped with (home)work, extra classes (i.e. remedials -_-), performances, blah blah the like. The UK post is sitting in my 'saved drafts' waiting to be completed. Everyday I come home in the evening, left with just enough time to bathe, eat, and do my work. In the weekends I usually try to relax a little. Just a little.

Well. Just a few updates on my life -

I've gotten into the psychology elective and I find it interesting.
I've gotten through the auditions for a guitarist in a band. I'm playing the electric guitar this coming Wednesday for an open house performance.
I'm stuck with Econs remedial.
I passed my JCTs. Just barely.
I donated blood recently and discovered it wasn't that painful as I'd thought it to be.

Those were, in a nutshell, what I've been experiencing. Just that it's a little less detailed. :) Till I start to settle down and have more time, I might be a bit quiet here.

Blasts in London

I can't believe this. I was just about to blog about how London got the chance to host the Olympics 2012, and now, this piece of horrible news pops up. Yeah. Blasts in London; London of all places. 40 killed, 300 injured, and that's not the final confirmed number. F**k. And I don't normally say that.

The bombs were planted in the subway stations, and a packed double decker bus. 40 innocent people were killed. If you don't know the gravity of that statement, let me enlighten you. In June, 20 students, me included, were down at the UK for an educational visit. Out of those 13 days we went, we spent 4 days, 3 nights in London. We used the subway as a primary means of transport. I'm not trying to be dramatic. I'm saying that this could've happened to us, or anyone at all. Those 40 people were innocent victims. They could've been reeling from all the surprise at London having just won the bid to host the Olympics in 2012. They could've been looking forward to seeing it for themselves. What now?

It's over finally. And I don't care about whatever has happened for the past few days. Can't if I'm going to enjoy myself for the next 4 days. UK entry coming up.

Can finally complete my J dorama collection, and whatever else I wanted to do.

closer and closer to...

Spinning: My Head. Really.

I am THIS close to tearing out all my hair. That close. I can't finish my revision as expected, what with all the slackin' good times I sneaked out of that damn asylum of a study room. I'm here 'cos I want to vent my frustrations. I think I might just fail this paper. So unexpected.

One more freaking day. Just one more and it's freedom. So close. This close.
