i climbed the peak. where's the view?
Spinning:
OK. I admit, I'm being random about the title. It does, however, hold some truth within. Last week was a shit week. I really mean shit when I say shit. 'Shit' in this context isn't an expletive, so stop wagging your fingers at me and going 'orh hor...' in typical Singaporean fashion. Last week was a crap week mainly due to the crappy amount of homework I had to slog over. The torture lasted a week and a half... stupid essays and data response questions spilled over to the next week. To make matters worse they had to give me 2 tests, one Econs, one Maths (which, of course, I failed - again!) The issue here, is, naturally, not the homework. It's me.
Believe me when I say more than half of the JC population are muggers. I'm serious. Obviously, I'm not a mugger. Point at me all you want and scream 'liar', but *gasps* .... it's true. In fact, I have very little sense of effective time management. Today, let's just say something happened which caused me to question my talents in time management. Actually, that isn't even theoretically correct... what talents in time management do I have in the first place? Zilch. Nada. Nil. ZERO. Really. I reached home at 7 in the evening yesterday. The initial plan was to allow for half an hour of lazy-time, with a shower thrown in. From 8 onwards, I decided, I would start on dinner. Assuming I wasn't too busy concentrating on a drama while eating, I would've finished by 8.30. And well, everything went according to plan, and I did a little celebration dance in light of my achievement (yes, if you don't know by now, I'm very generous with praises when it comes to myself). But everything fell to pieces when I sat in front of the computer. Guess what I did - I played an online game till the very hour I fell asleep. Just like that. Poof. So what happened then? I did NOTHING. NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING.
So it was really my own fault that I had to do 2 essays by today. And I really tried "EFFECTIVE TIME MANAGEMENT" this time around. Heck. Even during lessons today, my mind had already ingeniously tried to construct a logical timetable as to what to do when. And I stuck to it faithfully, man. For how long that will continue, I don't know. For now, I'll make do with my mental time tables.
Just a wee update on my new pup Chase. (yes, her name is now chase, pronounced ' chay see ' ) It is, indeed, a very weird name, but it's not chosen by me. My beloved brother chose it, thinking it sounded cool. So Chase it is...
Anyway, Chase has taken an interest nowdays in chewing fingers and toes. Human ones, to be precise. She LOVES to chew my toes. And it's VERY PAINFUL can! You're probably laughing your head off at my misfortune - and I really sound like I'm exaggerating, but I'm not. I got the orh chehs (blue-blacks) to PROVE my new pup's lust for flesh. Her teeth, or rather, all puppies' teeth are sharper than an adult's teeth, but to offset that, their jaws are weaker. However, the point here is that they have absolutely no idea that what they're biting is actually my fragile flesh - flesh that can be bitten off if they really put in the effort. Chase seems to be a very intelligent dog - intelligent enough to challenge me. She knows I hate it. Yet she still does it. Sites claiming to be experts in dog training keep telling me to 'yelp and walk away'. Oh, that really helps a ton. Yelp, then she bites even harder. Walk away, and continue to get abused by her?! That's exactly what happened. I know the trick is to ignore the pup so that she knows the owner doesn't like it. Thing is, once I get up and walk away, she starts to clamp her teeth on my feet again. (she's very fast.) And it's not like I can control my 'ouches' right - if it's painful, I won't suppress the 'ouch' and look like a constipated purple potato. Or rather, I can't. So in the end, I end up screaming in pain for real... and she thinks it's a game. Wonderful, how wonderful. Guess I'll have to bear the bruises for a few months before she finally realizes that human flesh is ... erh... not supposed to be torn into shreds.
Guitar SYF was today - I really wonder how the seniors did. I heard a preview of their songs just yesterday. Got me so envious - I want to play songs like that. Sounding truly like an ensemble piece. Guitar concert is on the 27th May. Last day of school...
Heh. Shameless plugging. Ngyeh ngyeh...
